Antique Italian brooch

Italian brooch in Venetian micromosaic. Narrow, long, of unusual elongated shape, very harmonious in color, in a brass frame. Made in Italy (as indicated by the inscription on the reverse, on the brass frame) in the early 20th century. Very small, almost microscopic mosaic tesserae, these brooches will later be made from much larger elements. Combination of red, blue, and white elements. The brooch is in good condition for its age, reliable clasp, sturdy intact frame, but in one place, upon close inspection, it can be seen that restoration has been carried out.
