AUTHOR'S COMMENT: "Night is the time when there is no longer a border between the painter and the object. No distraction, no sound that unnerves you. Just you two. This little still life on a cutting board is one of the series of nocturnal paintings. On the dark, almost black background, a laurel branch with its almost blue leaves and two lemons on the table."
